To find a hotel, you need to understand what makes Perth unique. First of all, it's important to know that it is the fourth most populated city in Australia, and the most isolated, nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Outback.

With over 2 million residents, in addition to tourists each year, Perth offers a wide range of hotels, rentals, and much more. Furthermore, keep in mind that the city is quite expensive, so budget accordingly for your stay in Perth!

Unlike other Australian cities like Sydney and Canberra, Perth isn't very touristy, so attractions are few and far between. The metropolis primarily attracts expatriates looking to work in Australia, mainly in the mining sector, with few neighborhoods truly designed for tourists. If you're wondering where to stay in Sydney, feel free to check out my guide

In the continuation of this article, I will present to you the neighborhoods that I believe are the most pleasant in Perth. Of course, I recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible to take advantage of better prices and have more choices among the available hotels.

If you're coming to Perth to get the most out of sun-soaked pleasures and beach fun, then Fremantle is a perfect spot for you If you have a rental car, Fremantle is an excellent alternative. It is a city located about 15 kilometers from the center of Perth, often considered the Old Perth. The main appeal of this city is that it has retained a significant part of its architectural heritage; it's a very historic place!

If you're wondering what to do in Fremantle, you can first feel inspired by its vibrant vibes and streets marked by its historical heritage. There are also many concerts and musical events. By the way, fun fact: the lead singer of the rock band AC/DC, Bon Scott, is from Fremantle

What is the Best Season to Visit Perth?

If you're unsure when to visit Australia, know that spring and autumn are the two ideal seasons for your stay. These times feature warm and pleasant temperatures! Also, keep in mind that the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere, so spring and autumn do not occur at the same times as in Europe.

Traveling in spring, between September and November, you'll enjoy generous weather, with temperatures around 23 degrees. Although occasional rain showers may occur, you'll be able to admire thousands of floral and plant species while visiting parks and nature reserves

By choosing autumn, between March and May, the humidity rate is a bit higher, but temperatures are much warmer, especially if you travel in early March. The advantage here is that days remain sunny and nights are cooler, which is not unpleasant

On the other hand, I advise against visiting Perth in winter. Even though temperatures remain pleasant, this period comes with many risks of storms and torrential rain ️

The best option to reach Perth is by air! However, note that there are no direct flights to Perth from France. You will definitely have to make a layover.

From Charles de Gaulle Airport, expect approximately 20 hours of travel with airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, or Qantas Airways. Generally, you will be offered to land at Adelaide International Airport and then take a train to reach Perth, totaling about 2 days of travel.

Of course, you can choose other international airports such as Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide and book a flight to Perth; there are many options available, but be sure to compare prices online using a flight comparison tool like Ulysse. If you're also wondering where to stay in Melbourne, I have a guide for that!

And there you have it! Now that you know where to stay in Perth, feel free to browse this blog to fine-tune your next trip to Australia! If you are also curious about how a van rental works in Australia, I have an article for you. Have a great vacation!
