Marrakech is a very popular vacation destination, so you won't have a hard time finding accommodation! Of course, I strongly recommend starting your search as soon as you know your travel dates to benefit from a wide range of accommodations at the best prices!

Two types of accommodations stand out from the others in the Red City: hotels and riads. Riad are square-shaped Moroccan houses, part of traditional architecture. Whether for interior decoration or residences, riads are quite luxurious and very intimate.

Staying in a Riad in Morocco is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture and be pampered by qualified staff. Nothing stops you from also choosing a hotel; moreover, the city has excellent establishments! By the way, I also have a guide where I share my favorite addresses of riads in Marrakech that might interest you!

Don't have time to read the entire article? Here are my favorite accommodations in the city:

  • If you want to stay in the center, in the Medina, I recommend the Riad l'Oiseau du Paradis, in a modern setting with a pool and hammam. Prices start from €100 per night.
  • In Guéliz, the Hotel Safia offers simple and modern rooms, and you can also enjoy the hotel's pool. Prices start from €83 per night!
  • In the Palmeraie, the Hotel Kasbah Le Mirage & Spa has comfortable rooms and a hammam area. A free shuttle also takes you to the city center twice a day. Prices start from €63 per night.

The Medina of Marrakech is a historic neighborhood located in the old city, surrounded by earthen walls offering beautiful warm colors.

Upon entering the Medina, you will be immediately struck by the vibrant colors and exotic smells. You can stroll through the narrow streets and discover the many souks, where you will find handmade products, spices, fabrics, and jewelry for your souvenirs.

The heart of the district is the Jemaa el-Fna square, a lively and dynamic place that has become a symbol of the city. The square is surrounded by cafes and restaurants where you can taste local dishes like tagine and couscous. You will also discover street performers, dancers, and musicians!

Outside of Jemaa el-Fna, take the time to explore the numerous historical monuments of the Medina, including palaces, mosques, and tombs. Among the most famous are the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tomb.
