Mallorca, being the largest island in the Balearic archipelago, boasts numerous stunning beaches, but some stand out as the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca ⛱️ Secret coves accessible only by foot, paradisiacal beaches of fine golden sand with crystal clear water, or even wild beaches... Here's everything that awaits you on a journey to Mallorca! One piece of advice, don't limit yourself to Palma de Mallorca and your hotel

1. Es Trenc Beach

Es Trenc Beach is both wild and paradisiacal, stretching 2 km. Its white sand, turquoise water, dunes, and surrounding pine trees create an idyllic setting just 7 km from Colònia de Sant Jordi

In summer, Es Trenc is increasingly a victim of its own popularity due to its beauty, proximity to the capital, and its set-up beach bars... Nonetheless, Es Trenc is classified as a Protected Natural Space, which is quite a good thing.

Moreover, the last part of the journey to reach Es Trenc must be done on foot, unless you choose to arrive by sea during a catamaran cruise to Es Trenc. It's also a good alternative if you don't have a vehicle. Expect to pay €59 per person for the day.

2. Muro Beach

Muro Beach, although very close to Alcudia, gets its name from the village perched behind the sandbank, Muro. With its immaculate sand, shallow crystal-clear water, dunes, and pine trees, it is part of the S'Albufera Natural Park. Plus, it offers a panoramic view of Alcudia Bay

Like Es Trenc, Muro Beach is very crowded in summer, as it is easily accessible by car and also by bus on the line connecting Can Picafort and Alcudia However, the beach facilities are much more discreet and harmonious than at Es Trenc.

3. Beaches of Cape Formentor

Cape Formentor is located at the northernmost point of the island of Mallorca, continuing from the Serra de Tramuntana. It is possible to explore the cape by car, via winding roads that are very difficult to access. Along the way, you'll discover breathtaking landscapes, especially at sunset, as well as wonderful beaches and coves that are quite difficult to access!

Formentor Cove is the best-marked and most accessible. It's a cove with golden sand surrounded by cliffs, pine trees, and translucent water. The pebble beach of Cala Figuera (Formentor), not to be confused with its namesake in the southern part of the island which has no pebbles, is also worth a detour, as is the crescent-shaped Cala Murta nestled in the cliffs.

4. Cala Matzoc

Cala Matzoc is one of the wildest beaches in Mallorca, only accessible through a hike from Cala Estreta. It's a small secret cove of white sand surrounded by rocks and a hill housing the ruins of a prehistoric watchtower (talayot).

The nearest town to Cala Matzoc is Artá, from which you can also reach Cala Mesquida. Classified as a > by the government, it's the best snorkeling spot on the entire island for locals

5. Beaches of Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada, along with its wonderful nearby coves (Cala Molto and Cala Agulla) not far from the village of Capdepera, all offer a wild and authentic natural setting Far from tourist facilities, the beaches of Cala Ratjada provide a peaceful and calm stay, even during the summer months. From Cala Ratjada, it's also possible to explore the surrounding sea caves during a stand-up paddle excursion for €70 per person.

Due to its tranquility, Cala Molto attracts many nudists (like many beaches in the Balearics and the Canary Islands).

6. Most Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca: Caló des Moro

Caló des Moro is considered the most beautiful beach in the village of Santanyí in southern Mallorca. It is therefore very popular, even though even in the height of summer, it will never be as crowded as Es Trenc or Muro Beach.

Additionally, Caló des Moro is very narrow. It's a small inlet nestled between two cliffs. Its fine white sand surrounded by pine groves and lined with turquoise water is barely visible in the height of August. But once deserted, it truly offers an exceptional setting and deserves its ranking among the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca

While waiting for fewer crowds at Caló des Moro, you can certainly go to Cala S'Almonia or Cala Santanyí just a few kilometers away. Otherwise, you can also enjoy the cove by arriving from the water The boat tour at Caló des Moro lets you enjoy the sea without the inconveniences of tourist influx or sand. Expect to pay €45 per person.

7. Most Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca: Cala Mondragó

Still in the bay of Santanyí, there's the Mondragó Natural Park that houses the secret Cala Mondragó! It is calm, little frequented, and even lesser-known... But birdwatching enthusiasts know it well, as it is home to a large population of birds that has earned it the status of >.

Cala Mondragó is accessible on foot via a path, then a concrete staircase from Platja S'Amarrador.

8. Platja des Coll Baix

Platja des Coll Baix is another isolated cove accessible only on foot. It is located at Cap des Pinar and is surrounded by a forest of pines and steep cliffs. The path to get here is truly worth it, as the panorama that unfolds before you will leave you speechless! Especially the water in shades of turquoise and deep blue

If you really don't want to walk to Platja des Coll Baix, there's a just as sporty but more refreshing ride that allows you to enjoy the beauty of the area, namely, the jet-ski ride in the bay of Coll Baix and Alcudia for €159 per person.

9. Most Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca: Cala Tuent

At this point, you've clearly understood that pine forests are part of the typical landscape of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. The best example is Cala Tuent on the Sa Calobra side.

This pebble beach with emerald waters is surrounded by pine forests, a few traditional houses, and especially the highest peak on the island, Puig Major ⛰️ The atmosphere of this beach is therefore very unique and absolutely worth seeing, even if it's not necessarily for swimming.

10. Most Beautiful Beaches of the West: Cala Mitjana, Cala Torta, and Cala Estretat

Finally, I struggled to determine which of these beaches on the west was the most beautiful, so I ranked them all on my list: Cala Mitjana, a tiny cove, Cala Torta with its strong winds, and Cala Estretat.

The three are adjacent and bordered by a narrow road that is difficult to navigate and impossible to park. That's why it's better to head to Cala Mesquida first, then discover these hidden treasures on a walk via the hiking trail that will take you about an hour

That's it for this top 10 of the most beautiful beaches of Mallorca! Of course, there are still dozens more that you might like, so don't hesitate to explore the island and ask locals for advice once you're there. And to enjoy in peace, go to Mallorca in September!
