Once you arrive in Izmir, one of the first things to do is visit the historic center of Konak to admire its monuments. Among the most iconic is the Clock Tower (Saat Kulesi), a symbolic building and a key landmark for navigating easily in Izmir ️

Built in 1901 by French architect Raymond Charles Père, the Clock Tower is a beautiful example of Ottoman architecture with Western influences! It stands about 25 meters tall and features a mechanical clock gifted by German Emperor Wilhelm II. What to do during your stay in Izmir? Well, enjoy visiting the historic center and admire the Yali Mosque, an architectural beauty built in the 18th century. Along the way, you'll meet a lot of people: joggers, fishermen, seafood vendors, cyclists, locals, tourists, and much more!

Located in Denizli province, Pamukkale is famous for its spectacular limestone formations and hot springs! In fact, the name "Pamukkale," which means "cotton castle," refers to the milky-white appearance of the travertine terraces cascading down the hill. These have been formed over thousands of years of thermal activity, with waters rich in minerals beneficial for the skin

In addition to enjoying these natural pools, you'll also have the opportunity to visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, which houses well-preserved ruins like a Roman theater and baths. Absolutely unmissable when heading to Izmir, Pamukkale has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988!

It is said that Tantalus would welcome the deities to his table and offered them his son Pelops after killing and dismembering him. So, in this case, the punishment is justified

During your walk, you can discover the natural beauty of the surroundings and its biodiversity with beautiful dense forests sheltering a variety of plant and animal species! To fully enjoy the beauty, remnants, and the Aegean Sea, knowing when to visit Izmir is crucial. Generally, summer is considered the best time to go to Turkey, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 35 degrees and about 12 hours of sunshine!

If you dislike high temperatures, spring (between April and May) offers milder and pleasant temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees. As a final option, visiting Izmir in September will allow you to savor the climate of early autumn with temperatures between 22 and 26 degrees.
