The PAUL & PIA establishment is located 500 meters from the train station and Old Colmar. The Place des Dominicains, where the Christmas market takes place, is 700 meters away. The establishment features colorful decor and very comfortable and pleasant rooms. The staff is very attentive and helpful, and paid parking is available in front of the hotel. Expect around €98 a night, with breakfast included.

The Saint-Martin Hotel, located near the Petite Venise district and the famous Rue des Marchands still in the Old Colmar area, offers comfortable and warm rooms decorated in traditional Alsatian style. You can relax in the hotel lounge and reading room, available from €82 per night.

The Le Rapp Hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of Old Colmar, 290 meters from the Christmas market at Place des Dominicains. You can enjoy an indoor pool and sauna. The hotel's restaurant serves traditional seasonal cuisine, accompanied by delicious Alsatian wines! You will be 900 meters from the Colmar train station and 600 meters from the Unterlinden Museum, starting from €173 per night.

The uniqueness of Little Venice is its well-preserved medieval architecture. It is the second most popular district in Colmar due to its romantic setting lined with canals! The half-timbered houses feature bright and colorful hues, giving this place a very picturesque character

Popular and highly appreciated, Little Venice enjoys an excellent location. It is close to the old town of Colmar and offers a variety of accommodations. If you want to stay there, book as quickly as possible, as this district has high rates and the best establishments fill up fast.

The Turenne Hotel is located at the entrance of Little Venice, 750 meters from Saint-Martin Church. All rooms are equipped and feature modern interior decor! A buffet breakfast is served every morning on-site, and many typical Alsatian restaurants are in the vicinity. You will be close to the renowned Bartholdi and Unterlinden museums starting at €78 per night for 2 people.

The Hotel Le Colombier is situated in the Little Venice area, in downtown Colmar. The Colmar Natural History Museum is 50 meters away and the Unterlinden Museum is 1.1 km away. Saint-Léon offers a range of choices for shopping and buying souvenirs from your visit to Haut-Rhin. This establishment provides an excellent base for exploring the Alsace Wine Route and the picturesque villages! The rooms are very comfortable and pleasant, starting at €64 per night! Breakfast is available for an additional cost.

Staying near the Colmar train station is an interesting option if you have a limited budget or if you're just passing through. To get to Old Colmar from the train station, it's about a ten-minute walk, or you can use public transportation to access it even faster, but the walk is really worth it during the Christmas season, as you'll find an ice skating rink on your way ⛸️

It's obvious that the areas around the train station are not the most attractive. There isn't anything particularly interesting to see, but it's a very economical location. Generally, areas surrounding train stations aren't well frequented, but in Colmar's case, the atmosphere is safe

You'll find low prices, particularly for rooms with locals, but times are changing and establishments near train stations are increasingly raising their rates, so don't wait too long to book.

The Colmar Hotel is located very close to the train station, with quick access to downtown. It offers very nice modern rooms, well-equipped and functional. Free parking and paid secure parking are available on-site. You'll be 1.2 km from Place des Dominicains. For a double room and breakfast, expect around €118 per night.

The Pierre & Vacances Residence is located at the border of the Little Venice district, 650 meters from the Colmar train station. The establishment offers an indoor pool with a wading pool and a garden with a playground. Each accommodation is decorated in a contemporary style and has a seating area. Some feature a balcony or terrace. Prices start from €52 for a night for two (minimum of 4 nights required).

If you are looking for a place to stay near Colmar for economic or practical reasons, several options are available to you! Of course, you will need to drive or possibly take a train to reach the city in question. That's why staying in Colmar is advisable, but here are my recommendations:

Kaysersberg is located about 12 kilometers northwest of Colmar. It's a charming little Alsatian town known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and picturesque ambiance. It offers an authentic atmosphere and is surrounded by vineyards, making it an ideal choice! However, prices can soar at any time of the year since the village was voted the favorite village of the French in 2017.

Another option is Ribeauvillé, located about 17 kilometers northwest of Colmar. This medieval town is also renowned for its historical heritage and half-timbered houses. It's also surrounded by vineyards, providing a peaceful setting for your stay.

If you prefer a more urban vibe, the city of Sélestat, about 25 kilometers north of Colmar, may be an option to consider. Sélestat features a beautiful old town with historic buildings and a lively atmosphere.

Finally, if you want to explore the Alsace region, the town of Munster, about 20 kilometers west of Colmar, is surrounded by mountains and forests. It's an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities and nature

Accommodations in Colmar are not as plentiful as one might think. If you truly want to stay in one of these municipalities, book as soon as possible.
