It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, and as such, you won't have any difficulty finding a place to stay. In fact, lodging options are much more economical if you decide to stay near the airport!

Nonetheless, I recommend prioritizing accommodation in the downtown area. It's much more practical and comfortable for exploring the city, accessing the beaches, and enjoying all the amenities

Not sure when to go to Mexico? If you are looking for warm, sunny temperatures to enjoy the beaches and water activities, the best time to visit Cancun is from December to April. This is the dry season, with average temperatures around 26-28 degrees Celsius and low precipitation.

Conversely, if you want to avoid crowds and high prices during peak season, you might consider going between May and November. This is the rainy season, with higher temperatures, but you will still enjoy beautiful sunny days during this period! ️
